High school students applied to attend Georgia Tech through Distance Learning in May of 2019. Over 80 students from Allatoona, Campbell, Kell, Harrison, Hillgrove, Kennesaw Mt., Lassiter, Pope, Walton, and Wheeler were accepted for the 2019-20 school year.
The mathematics distance learning courses for students to take typically during their senior year are Linear Algebra and Multivariable Calculus for students that have completed AP Calculus BC. Students attend their local high school or a satellite school and attend the courses online. The application may be found at: http://admission.gatech.edu/dual-enrollment. Applications are available in May and submitted in June of each year. Students are notified in July of acceptance. The courses begin mid-August and students attend class first thing in the morning. Let’s increase the number this school year!
