STEAM Art Exhibit: Man & Machine

Can you create an artwork that celebrates the relationship between man and machine? Can you create an artwork by using a machine not designed to create art? Can you build a machine that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing? Cobb student artists can!

Students from across the Cobb County School District recently used art to explore the relationship between man and machine. More than 40 of those student art pieces were featured during a Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM)-based Man and Machine Exhibition, January 11, 2017 at The Art Place Mountain View located at 3330 Sandy Plains Road Marietta, Ga. Those interested in celebrating the student artists are welcome to attend. The exhibit wsae on display January 9-26.

From a STEAM-rolled Stanley and Gidget-The Robotic Dog to student illustrations and photographs, the Cobb students’ artwork answered one of the following questions: Can you create an artwork that celebrates the relationship between man and machine? Can you create an artwork by using a machine not designed to create art? Can you build a machine that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing? To view the entire online gallery, CLICK HERE.
