Over 8,500 teachers spread across the district in 17 schools experienced high-quality Professional Learning on July 26th before students are ready to return to the 2017-2018 school year.
Teachers, Counselors, School Psychologists, and Media Specialists were just a few of the groups experiencing professional learning community work for the half-day PL sessions focused on Learning Engagement. Schools chose Professional Learning Community (PLC) Leaders to attend the first of several training opportunities this school year to bring academic support to PLC work occurring locally with district support.
Teachers had over 615 sessions to choose from — differentiated by content, grade level, experience (advanced or basic), and interest.
Session powerpoints, handouts and other materials will be posted in both the Guidebook app under the sessions attended as well as the Engage Cobb website: http://engagecobb.wordpress.com
