Lassiter HS Choraliers selected to perform at GMEA 2018 conference!
Each January, GMEA holds an Inservice Conference and many music teachers from across GA attend to recharge their music teaching batteries. There are numerous sessions that provide the latest teaching techniques, new music, and time for camaraderie for the teachers since many of us are the only ones in our schools who do what we do. For many, the best part of the conference are the concert sessions. In the spring of the year, GMEA issues calls for applications to perform at the conference. Brian Williams, director, submitted recordings of the Lassiter High School Choraliers. The Choraliers were notified in July that they had in fact been selected and slated to perform on Friday, January 26, 2018 at 8:30 pm for the GMEA conference. Choirs (and other ensembles) selected to perform at the conference are considered to be the best examples of music ensembles in the state, and Mr. Williams is thrilled that one of his choirs has been selected for this year. It is an extremely prestigious honor. Congratulations to the Lassiter High School Choraliers and their director, Brian Williams!!
