The Transition Services Team ‘s Annual College and Career Fair for Students with Disabilities on October 10, 2017 at Hillgrove High School from 4:30-7:00.
More than 150 families came out to Hillgrove High School to attend a College and Career Transition Fair specially designed for students with disabilities. This event gives students with disabilities and their families the opportunity to visit with a variety of vendors who can help students achieve their post-secondary goals. Vendors from local colleges, inclusive post-secondary programs, community agencies, local Cobb County transition programs, and other career training programs make this a great event for everyone from seniors who will be making the leap to adult hood at the end of the school year to middle school students who want to get a sense of what is available to them after high school. In addition to vendors, a series of break-out sessions will be provided to allow students and their families to get more information on topics related to preparing for life after high school. Speakers include Parent Mentors and representatives from college programs. Please see the attached flyer for more information.
