KMHS Literary State Champs

The Kennesaw Mountain High School Literary Team placed FIRST PLACE at the State Competition in Buford on Saturday, February 17, 2018.

KMHS also had FOUR individual STATE CHAMPIONS:
• Ayana Arrington (two time state champ) – Dramatic Interpretation
• Meredith Johns (two time state champ) – International Extemporaneous Speaking
• Nick Haddad – Humorous Interpretation
• Olivia Seabaugh – Domestic Extemporaneous

Speaking Other students excelling at the Literary Meet were:
• Sydney Schulte placed second in Girls Solo
• Rego Jaquish placed third in Argumentative Essay
• Carson Colenbaugh placed fifth in Boys Solo
• Libby Kunst placed fifth in Rhetorical Essay

Special Thanks to Tricia Jacobson and Niki Jaquish who spent their Saturday with the team in Buford providing support and training for our students.

Representatives from our region placed in the TOP THREE in every event but two.  In addition, two schools from our region placed first and third overall.
