2018 KSU MATH COMPETITION AWARDS

Kennesaw State University holds an annual written mathematics competition for high school students across the State of Georgia.

Each fall, students solve mathematics problems and the participants that place in the top 10% move on to phase two. In the winter, these students are given another set of mathematics problems and the top 2% are pulled to be recognized. In the 2017-18 school year, 1,747 students competed for awards from over 137 schools in 44 counties. We had the 3rd  place winner for the state and 7 Honorable Mentions that ranked in the top 2% of competitors. Winners for the KSU Mathematics Competition for 2018 are:

  • Russell Emerine, Walton HS 3rd Place Plaque Winner and recipient of $25. Russell beat out 1744 students for 3rd place!

  • Dipen Mehta, Walton HS Honorable Mention Plaque Winner (Top 35 students of 1,747)

  • Raymond Jiang, Wheeler HS Honorable Mention Plaque Winner (Top 35 students of 1,747)

  • Andrew McEntaggart, Walton HS Honorable Mention Plaque Winner (Top 35 students of 1,747)

  • Daniel Chu, Kennesaw Moutain HS Honorable Mention Plaque Winner
  • Darren Key, Walton HS Honorable Mention Plaque Winner
  • Aarvind Saligram, Walton HS Honorable Mention Plaque Winner
  • Daniel Shu, Walton HS Honorable Mention Plaque Winner
