Over 8,500 teachers spread across the district in 19 schools experienced high-quality Professional Learning on January 4th before students were ready to return.
Teachers, Counselors, School Psychologists, and Media Specialists were just a few of the groups experiencing professional learning community work for the full day of PL sessions focused on Learning Engagement. Schools chose Professional Learning Community (PLC) Leaders to attend the first of several training opportunities this school year to bring academic support to PLC work occurring locally with district support.
Teachers had over 789 sessions to choose from — differentiated by content, grade level, experience (advanced or basic), and interest. Session powerpoints, handouts and other materials are posted in both the Attendee Hub app under the sessions attended as well as the Engage Cobb website: http://engagecobb.wordpress.com
