Pre-K Students Are Busier Than Ever!
Pre-K students at Hendricks Elementary School are being provided an engaging learning experience every day. The quality experiences each of these students are receiving promotes Kindergarten readiness while developing and enhancing their academic, social, and emotional development.
CCSD Pre-K provides future Cobb 4-year-old students with readiness skills that are essential for their success in Kindergarten. Pre-K introduces a variety of skills, concepts, and quality learning experiences that students need in order to achieve in Kindergarten. These skills include language and literacy, music, movement, math, science, art, and dramatic play. Hendricks Elementary School’s, Georgia Pre-K classroom plans instruction using the Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards. These standards are aligned with the Kindergarten Georgia Standards of Excellence. This alignment allows for seamless transition from Pre-K to Kindergarten.
The Pre-K students at Hendrick ES are busier than ever! Guest readers continue to model language and literacy, reading and writing time encourages the students to tell and share their own stories, daily read-alouds encourage deep thinking, creativity, and new ideas, and exploring the world from inside the classroom develops general knowledge capacity.
Pre-K is the place to be! The intentionally designed daily schedule supports a dynamic learning environment committed to personalizing instruction for the district’s youngest learners. Check out what’s happening in Pre-K at #cobbearlylearning.
