Celebrating Young Children

Week of the Young Child Involves Everyone!

The Week of the Young Child (April 8-12, 2019) is an annual celebration hosted by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) celebrating early learning, young children, their teachers, and families. The Cobb County Early Learning Department is thrilled to share how you can celebrate the young children in your lives. Each themed day of the week can easily go beyond this week. Check of the ways you can inspire, motivate, and develop the young children in your lives.

Young children thrive from a variety of experiences. Celebrate the week of the young child this week and throughout the month of April. Here are some great ways to inspire and impact the development of young children in Cobb County School District:

Music Monday: Sing, Dance, Celebrate, and Learn

Tasty Tuesday: Healthy eating and fitness at home and school

Working Together Wednesday:  Work together, build together, learn together

Artsy Thursday: Think, Problem Solve, Create

Family Friday: Sharing Family Stories
