Kennesaw Mountain Sports Marketing Students Raise Money to Support Two Teachers fighting Cancer
On April 25, 2019, Kennesaw Mountain’s Advanced Sports Marketing Class put together a fun-filled fundraiser, called Kside Wipeout, in order to raise money for medicals bills for two of their teachers. When the KM Sports Marketing students heard about two of their teachers, who had recently been diagnosed with cancer, they set a goal and created a plan to put on a fundraiser in support of their teachers.
The student’s effort was noticed by local media and several corporations, including the Atlanta Braves, leant their support to the event. The event was a successful fundraiser, raising nearly $4,000,. The students had fun and it was a great way to turn their marketing knowledge into an experiential learning experience. Way to go Kennesaw Mountain Students!
