Each September 17th, the United States celebrates the signing of our Constitution in 1787 at the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia. This day is set aside to teach and investigate the rights and responsibilities of U.S. citizens.
Cobb students celebrated Constitution day 2019 in a variety of ways. First grade students at East Side Elementary created their own classroom constitution and participated in a lesson lead by Walton seniors about how integrity, respect, and honesty while students at Kell High School organized a voter registration drive. McCleskey Middle School celebrated Constitution Day by electing their Student Government. Across Cobb students recited the Preamble and studied the Constitution to deepen their understanding and appreciation of the freedoms we enjoy.
