Cobb Art Teachers Participate in Annual Teacher Art Exhibit

Cobb Art Teachers exhibited their artwork in The Art Station’s annual show, “The Art of the Art Teacher”.

Every fall, Cobb art educators are invited to participate in an art exhibit that highlights the work they are creating outside the classroom. The Art Station, one of Cobb’s local art centers, has held this show supporting teachers for over five years. It is wonderful to see the artwork of teachers that inspire Cobb students every day in the classroom and this exhibit is a reminder that our dedicated and talented art educators in Cobb are also working artists.

Each year, nearly one hundred works made by Cobb elementary, middle, and high school art teachers are on display. Not only does the exhibit provide teachers access to publicly display their work, Cobb students can also see their teachers’ art in a gallery environment. The exhibit, entitled The Art of the Art Teacher, is on view each September at the Art Station in Kennesaw. Cobb art teachers use the hashtag #cobbartteacherscreate when posting about their own work on social media. To follow the day to day happenings in art classrooms across the district, follow the hashtag #cobbartrocks.
