Congratulations to Kennesaw, Mountain View and King Springs Elementary schools for being the recipient of the 2019 Kids Heart Challenge Award from the American Heart Association. These schools were a part of the top performing schools in the State. Thank you for your commitment to keeping our students energized and engaged.
The Kids Heart Challenge is a fun and exciting event where students learn about their heart while helping others with heart conditions by raising funds for the American Heart Association. The American Heart Association’s Kids Heart Challenge Program advance the mission of eliminating heart disease and stroke through partnership with school districts like Cobb.
The program also prepares students for success by focusing on physical and emotional wellbeing in our students and staff which includes heart healthy lesson activities for students, health and wellness resources for faculty and staff as well as service-learning opportunities.
