Governor Kemp signed SB 367 into law on August 5, 2020, eliminating four high school End of Course (EOC) assessments and one elementary End of Grade (EOG) assessment.
EOGs and EOCs ….. required or not required?
The State Board of Education met on August 27, 2020 and determined EOCs will be given for Algebra I, American Literature and Composition, Biology, and US History. The bill also eliminated the social studies EOG in fifth grade. Additionally, the bill requires elementary and middle school EOGs be given within 25 school days of the last day of school.
