Groups selected to represent CCSD at Georgia Music Educators Association Inservice Conference.
The Kennesaw Mountain High School Wind Symphony, under the direction of Michael Huebner and Corey Futrell, and the Kennesaw Mountain High School Percussion Ensemble, under the direction of Rick Dietrich have been invited to perform for the Georgia Music Educators Association Inservice Conference in Athens, Georgia in January of 2021. Due to the “virtual” format of the 2021 conference, both groups will perform “in person” in Athens in 2022 as well.
Both groups were selected from among numerous submissions received from across the state. Students in both ensembles will present and perform for music educators and industry professionals from across the nation and abroad.
We are very proud to have these students and directors represent the outstanding music education programs in the Cobb County School District.
