“Reading gives us someplace to go when we have to stay where we are.” ~Mason Cooley
Beanstack provides Cobb students with a digital way to log reading minutes, complete reading activities, and earn digital badges.
Reading provides a window to the world, comfort in characters, and numerous educational benefits. A culture of reading in our schools emphasizes the joy and journeys that abound in choice reading.
To engage students in reading and support reading culture, Beanstack provides Cobb students with a digital way to log reading minutes, complete reading activities, and earn digital badges.
Beanstack works like a “FitBit” tracker for reading. Each month, students can participate in school, district, or national reading challenges, such as the current Black History Month challenge and “For the Love of Reading” challenge. Digital badges can also be earned for reaching personal goals. It’s a fun way for students to keep track of reading and watch their reading progress.
Over Thanksgiving break, Cobb students surpassed 1,000,000 reading minutes logged. By February, they hit the 2,000,000 minute mark and are closing in on 3,000,000 minutes. We are so proud of our readers!
